  • In November, 2005, Mr. Ye WEI--one of the partners of HHP Attorneys-At-Law--strived to win the championship of Men¡¯s Doubles together with Mr. WANG Xin, the lawyer of Zhongmao Law Office in the 7th Badminton Contest for All Lawyers in Shanghai. Mr. WEI also won the runner-up of Mixed Doubles together with Ms. WU Fangjing, the lawyer of Lizhao Law Office.
     

  • Mr. Marc McGuire, Associate General Counsel of Delphi, visited HHP on 3 November 2005. Delphi is the biggest car components maker worldwide. Mr. McGuire is responsible for the legal matters of Delphi for the regions out of North America. HHP was engaged by Delphi for providing comprehensive legal advisory services since October 2005 and as a result HHP sent its attorneys to Delphi's legal department on a secondment basis in order to offer the most direct and timely legal service.

  • In August 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law advised one wholly foreign owned bank for its capital increase of RMB 90 million and expanding its operation to non-FIE RMB business.

  • During from 18th to 22nd of August 2005, all the members of HHP Attorneys-At-Law and Haarmann Hemmelrath Shanghai Office went for an outing to Lijiang & Shangri-La, Yunnan Province to visit the Lijiang Old City, climb Jade-Dragon Snow Mountain, enjoy Shangri-La imaginary place, refresh the spirit and forget the pressure of work and the hassle of rush-hour.

  • On July 4, 2005 in London, Mr. XU Jingdong and Mr. WEI Ye visited the London Office of Haarmann Hemmelrath. They discussed the cooperation issue regarding M&A business with Philip Newhouse, the senior partner of Haarmann Hemmelrath.

  • On July 4, 2005 in London, Mr. XU Jingdong and Mr. WEI Ye visited the London Headquarter Office of Freshfields. They discussed the cooperation issue regarding M&A and capital market business with Matthew Cosans, Freshfields’s senior partner in charge of capital market.

  • From June 30 to July 2, 2005, Mr. DAI Jun, Mr. WEI Ye and XU Jingdong of HHP-Attorneys-Law were invited to attend the Global Member Meeting 2005 of Haarmann Hemmelrath held in Frankfurt.

  • From June 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law provides the general legal advice for Gaorong Food Group, which is the largest vegetable-exporting company in China.

  • On 30th of May 2005, Mr. Bin Zhao and Mr. Ye Wei from HHP Attorneys-At-Law hosted the visit of the delegation of Marseilles Bar Association. The parties exchanged opinions on issues such as the qualification and practices of Chinese lawyers with which the French lawyers are concerned. Mr. Bin Zhao and Mr. Ye Wei also attended the meeting held by the Shanghai Bar Association for the delegation on 1st of June 2005.

  • On 18 & 19 of May, 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law and Haarmann Hemmelrath Shanghai Office, together with the Youth Jurisprudence Association of Fudan University, held the 2nd WORKSHOP FOR LEGAL STUDENTS on the topic of assets restructuring in Fudan University for the graduates and undergraduates of Law School of Fudan University.

  • On April 02, 2005, Mr. Jun Dai and Mr. Ye Wei of HHP Attorneys-At-Law were invited by School of Management, Fudan University to give a special lecture on the topic of “Legal Practice of Corporate M&A?for its MBA students.

  • In March 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law advised one German state-owned bank for increasing its Shanghai branch by RMB 200 million and expansion of its operations to non-FIE RMB business.

  • From February of 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law advised for Kingfisher UK ¨C the mother company of B&Q ¨C on their acquisition of the Chinese business of OBI Germany.

  • From February 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law participates in the framework negotiation in respect of the financing vehicle for the Shanghai suburb environmental project between the World Bank and Shanghai Urban Construction Investment and Development Corporation.

  • From February 2005, HHP Attorneys-At-Law has advised on the “Opal-Villa?project for Jinlou Property.

  • In January 2005, the litigation raised by the France-based company Louis Vuitton against Shanghai Xingui Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai International Lidu Properties Co., Ltd. on the grounds of trademark tort on “LV?and unfair competition, focused by the media across the country, was publicly heard by Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court. Over 100 citizens from within China or abroad attended the hearing. Mr. Ye Wei and Mr. Jindong Xu from HHP Attorneys-At-Law, as the attorneys for the two noted developers, had vehement debate with the plaintiff. The case will be decided later.
