Mr. Wei's practice focuses primarily on real estate law (including development, construction, lease and sale), corporate law, joint venture law and anti unfair competition law.

Experience

Mr. Wei is a consultant to the Shanghai Municipal Real Estate Resource Administration Bureau in their drafting of the Standard Real Estate Sales Contract and Measures for the Inspection and Administration of the Presale Price of Commodity Houses. He is also a member of the "Construction & Real Estate Committee" of Shanghai Bar Association. He has wide-ranging experience in financing, construction and transfer in respect of all kinds of commercial and residential property projects. He has provided general legal services for many of the noted residential and office building projects in Shanghai, such as "Chrysanthemum Garden", "Hongfa Garden", "Beihai Mansion", "Guilong Garden", "Shuiqingmuhua", "Junyao International Plaza", "Jinlintiandi", "Mandarin Villa Garden", "Rancho Santa Fe Villa", etc and has provided legal service on real estate for global retailing giants such as McDonald's and B&Q.

He has also provided legal services on BOT construction projects for Shanghai Urban Construction Investment & Development General Corporation. In terms of M&A, he has advised B&Q on its acquisition of OBI’s Chinese business; Tongren Pharmaceuticals (pesticide asset stripping), New Jinqiao (MBO); as well as advising on several M&A projects for both Zendai Properties and Sunco Group. His working philosophy is accurate, timely and cost-effective, and he enjoys a high reputation among his clients.

Mr. Wei’s multinational clients include the likes of B&Q, Bertelsmann, Capitaland, Huntsman, Hynix-ST, Kerry Properties, McDonald’s, Polyplastics, Roche, Rohmhaas, Vopak, among others. His notable domestic clients in China include Vank Real Estate, Sunco Group, Shanghai Chengtou, Shanghai Industrial, Zendai Properties, Hualian Supermarket, Lansheng Group, Chunlan Group, JunYao Group, Huachuang Securities, and Tongren Pharmaceutical.
