HHP Partner Awarded The A-List 2018 – China’s top 100 lawyers
China Business Law Journal published The A-List 2018 – China’s top 100 lawyers recently. HHP Partner, Mr. Yao RAO, is on the A-list.
To understand the clients’ ideas about what it takes to become an outstanding lawyer in China-related business, the editorial team of China Business Law Journal has sought answers from a large number of professionals, mainly experienced in-house counsel and corporate managers. Based on the feedback from clients and extensive editorial research, China Business Law Journal has compiled the list of 100 top private practice lawyers from Chinese law firms and 50 lawyers from foreign law firms for China-related business.

Mr. Rao has been providing legal services for multinational companies in China since 2002, especially specialized in providing solutions for the M&As in the highly regulated industries such as medical device, medical institution, medical packaging, nutrition food and mining.
He also represents a great number of multinational companies to set up their foreign-invested companies or other commercial presences in China, and provides legal consultation in the areas of commercial contract, compliance, labor, construction, competition, tax, foreign exchange, customs, environment protection and anti-monopoly.
Mr. Rao is the managing partner of HHP, and serves as the Board member of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide and Co-Chair of MeritasAsia-Pacific. Mr. Rao has been ranked as a leading individual by many legal media and included in the Thousand Talent Program for Foreign-related Lawyers public notification list by the Ministry of Justice of China.
The A-List is based on extensive research conducted by China Business Law Journal. To identify the top 100 lawyers for China practice, the editorial team has turned to thousands of in-house counsel in China and around the world, as well as partners at Chinese and international law firms, and asked them to tell which lawyers should make the cut.
Nominations were received from professionals at a wide range of Chinese and international companies, law firms and other organizations. The final list reflects the nominations received combined with the China Business Law Journal editorial team’s years of collective experience in documenting and analyzing China’s legal market.
