HHP Lawyer Yao RAO Elected to Board of Directors of Meritas
HHP Attorneys-At-Law is pleased to announced that Yao RAO has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Meritas, a global alliance of independent law firms that serves the legal needs of companies doing business across international markets. Mr. Rao was elected to the position from the more than 7,500 attorneys in the Meritas member network and will serve with 25 others from around the world. During the term, Mr.Rao will also serve for the Member Engagement Committee, and serve as the Co-Chair for Meritas Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Rao has been involved with Meritas for 9 years, during which time he has served as a main contact between Meritas and HHP. As a board member, he will participate in strategic planning; governance; and policies around membership and implementation of Meritas' rigorous quality standards, which sets the network apart from other legal organizations.
Mr. Rao practices in the area of corporate and M&A, labour, construction and compliance. He has provided long term legal services to multinational companies for their M&As and day-to-day operation in China, and has assisted numerous Chinese enterprises to complete their complex outbound investment including M&A and construction projects.
